The Wairarapa leads the Dominion in more ways that one. Tts fit stock holds the prido of position. The variety of its soil is unequalled. Its climate is superb. Tn the athletic world it also finds the top rungs of tho ladder. Time was when the champion Rugby .football team belonged to the Wairarapa. Now we have developed other sports, in which we occupy the premier position. Oiily a few months' I back Miss O'Leary secured the ladies' I swimming championship of the Dominion. Then our male hockey playI ers appropriated the coveted Nordon Cup. And now our lady hookeyites divide honours with the. best team the Dominion can produce. Congratulation* to our sturdy young, women! They have fought pluekv cames throughout, and descrvo their victory.
