Senator Aldersmith, Chairman of the Senate Committee, who has been enquiring into affairs at El Paso, in ] JMexico, states that American ac- ) tivity is fomenting the Mexican volution. He pays that so little has been done by the United States to maintain its prestige, that tho rebels have ignored her protests against the torture and robbery of American subjects. Mexico, he says, is raipdly approaching a. crisis. The time is ripe for America to attempt to secure an equitable settlement of the revolution. 1 CITY IN A FERSITvNT. DISORDER IN CHAMBER, (Received This Morning 12.35 o'clock.) MEXICO CITY, September 15. There are great disturbances ■throughout the city. . Mobs are shouting "Vivas Diaz, ,T and hissing General Madero. There were riotous scenes in. the Chamber. A Deputy drew a pistol, fancying that lie was insulted by another De--1 puty's remarks. 'H© was disarmed, with difficulty. The army is reported to bo" seriously - disaffected. The situation is similar to that pre- , ceding the fall of Diaz : . A PLOT UNVEILED. TO SACK THE CITY. (Received This Morning 12.35 o'clock.) MEXICO CITY, September 15. A plot has been unveiled, in which it was arranged to sack the city on Ksth instant, which is the anniversary of Mexican Independence. Numerous arrests have been made. It- is alleged that the plot was organised by rebel sympathisers.
