CORRESPONDENCE
A CADET GRIEVANCE.
■ To The Editor.] Sir, —Wo wo.uld liko to , draw, through your pages, the attention of the officers in charge of th<> Masterton. area of the Dcfenco forces, to the fact that although we have taken the oath of allegiance we are not going to be fooled. Last Monday night when ivo turned up to drill what was ouv surprise to find no officers there j to drill us. Now this is not the first timo it has happened, and we are led to'believe they are playing with us. If wo don't turn up we are liable to a fine, and here they play w:th us and hardly make an explanation. We are not that far back that they could could not send us word if they could not come. We would like to see some of them come home from a hard day's work and walk four or fivo miles, there and back, for nothing. We reckon there would be a fUss. Hoping that wo will soon get an explanation. —I am, etc., SENIOR. CADET.
