" A petition was presented to Parliament recently by the relatives of Charles Ward, praying for compensation on account of the forty-acre section in the Masterton Small Farm Block to which he..claimed to have had the simpio prior to. its being vested in , ttfb Trust Lands Trust. The Petition Committee of the House weiit fully into itho claim this week, and ultimately decided that it had no recommendation to taake. ; This means that the claimants are to be given no redress, •and that the title of the Trust Lands, Trust is to remain unimpaired.
