MT. EGMONT ROAD RACE,

NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night
Fifty-seven cyclists started in the Round* the Mountain Road Race of 120 miles to-day. The weather was fine in the early stages, but the cyclists ran into heavy rain nearing Stratford. The winner,* T. 6. Gollins, was in front practically all the way, and despite two chain breakages he scored somewhat comfortably at the finish. The following is the result: —T. G. Gollins (Greymouth), 6hr 2min ssec 1; H. Ronald (Martinborough), 6hr Omin 19sec; A. Danielson (Palmerston North), Bhr 6min Isec; J Allen (Halswell). 6hr 7min lOsec; 0. Rowlands (Tikurangi), 6hr 7min 43sec ; A. Codd (RahotiO, Gin7min 58sec; the next to finish were R. Rennor. N. Wadman,W. Roebuck. G. AVallace, P. S. Hamrn, H. Gibson. J. Mctigue, J. Sheppard, H. Henderson. J. Clarke and H. F. Williams. The fastest time was scored ■ y W. Wadman, who finished in'Shr 3-lnun 2Gsec.
