REPUBLICAN DEFEAT FORECASTED.

Mr Metxger., the Progressive candidate, only secured 1700 votes*. Tho EeptiMjsan Bowse will now be obliged to elect a Governor.
Political students emphasise the fact that when in Vermont the Republican majority falls below -2.5,(X)0, the Republican Party is always defeated in the. following Presidential election.
