HAWERA, Last Night.

A message was received by the police yesterday afternoon that Daniel McCartoen, a well-known resident of Matapu, was found dead in his house. Th deceased t who was about fifty years of age, attended the horse fair at Hawera yesterday, when ho nppeared to he in his usual health. Subsequent inquiries show that the deceased had an epileptic fit.
