(To the Editor Wairarapa Age.)
Sir —A local in your issue of Thurs-ancLa^-jry u „l,elief. It is stated that a settle has obtained 210 per cent, ot lamb, from his stud of Southdown owe. Every year we read of some wondeful lambings, but this beats al . It Lns from a flock of 50 (thoso with lambs and also those/without) he would have to obtain 100 lambs I hone voti do not publish .anything t.mt you know is wilfully untrue. But as T have never had more than 90 per cent, from my stud of Southdown*, you will understand me if I say, J do not believe it."—J .am .<*£. A. G. STONE-VvTGG. "Waipipi," Opaki.
(We are sorrv that our correspondent should be" sceptical. The stud flock which bad produced the percentage to which we refer is m the Wangaehu Valley. We have no reason at all to doubt our informant The stud flock, we may say, is a small one—Ed. Age.)
