Britain has filed a Note with the State Department reaffirming its protests against tho Panama Canal Bill, and stating that if a satisfactory agreement cannot bo reached, Britain will appeal to The Hague Court.

LONDON, August 29
Tho Times' Washington correspondent says that the British Charge d' Affaires is renewing representations regarding canal rates, and declares that these representations will probably be followed by a reasoned protest when the Act comes to be examined in London. If the difference is not settled diplomatically, Britain will demand arbitration.
