WOMEN S RIGHTS

BRITISH UNION DEPUTATION

TO CANADIAN PREMIER

(Received August 29, 9 a.m.)

LONDON, August 28

The Canadian Prime Minister, Mr R. L. Borden, replying to a deputation from the Women's Political Union, said ho did not intend to introduce in the Canadian Parliament a Women's Suffrage Bill. The deputation hinted that the Union might instruct Canadian women to resort to militant tactics; also to advise intending emigrants to go to Australia and New Zealand instead of Onn-da.

Mr Borden retorted that such a threat would not influence his decision.
