KAIPARORO.
Tlis mild weather of the past week has had a decidedly beneficial effect o.ii pastures and should it continue there will be abundance of feed liy the time the cheoso factory opens next month. Dairy cattle are in good condition, so there is every prospect of the new season being commenced under the most favourable conditions.
The Haptwell-Kaiparoro Road is at present being extensively repaired.
On last Thursday evening a surprise party visited the residence of Mr .loh 11 Harvey in order to give a kitchen to'i to his daughter Kitty, Avhose marriage is to take place early next month. About forty friends of the prospective bride were present,, and o, very pleasant evening was whiled away at progressive euchre. Last Saturday night ono of the most successful evenings organised by the School Committee took place in the hall. Between forty and fifty persons were present, and considerable interest was tiken. in the euchre tournament, which occupied the early part of the evening. The prize winners were Miss Ethel Falkner and Mr Bryan Lozell'. The last two hours of the evening were devoted to dancing.
' On Sunday the Rev. WnTke of Eketnhuna- conducted a well-attended service in the hall.
! Arrangements are now well in hand for the Bachelors' Ball, which is to take place in the hall next Thursday evening and all that is wanted , to ensure success is fme weather.
