Petone Man Crippled with Sever* Rheumatism. _ *. j Wouldn't Lift his Arms above hi -lead. How he Found a Cur« Mr John Smith, 21 Gear Street, Pot-on**, near Wellington, recommends DV Williams' Pink Pills far and wide. He tells how they cured him of a bad attack of Rheumatism, which crippled him so, that he could not even raise his arms abovo his head or dress himself without his wife's help. Mr Smith says:— "I. had a very bad bout of Rheumatism when in Invercargili, some time back, and it lasted for months. At last I shook it off. hut when 1 went over on tho West' Coast, which is very wot. it came on me again. My shoulders became affected and the pain gradually spread down as far a; the calves of my legs. For months I was crippled. We had an hotel at the timo, and it was a great trouble to even get about. I could not hnvt done any laborious work. For nearly two years my arms were so stiff I could not raise them abovo my shoulders. Mrs Smith had to help me on with my coat and vest when I had to go to town. All my joints swelled and my arms and wrists and liandr.' puffed up. My fingers get so stiff I could hardly hold a pen. I often wolle with the pains perhaps in the neck and shoulders; before the day was done the pain would have flown to tho calves and ankles. My knees ! were always free, but the attack passed right down the back of the legs' to the ankles. The aifected parts looked sore and shiny. I used all sorts of liniments but they did not cure me. I could always feel every change in the weather.- The sliboting pains all through me often kept me awake at night and I lay there afraid j to turn. In the mornings I always felt st-'ff and worse; towards evening the pain might lull a bit. The pain and weakne-Sfi cffcevi made mo break out in a profuse perspiration. When mv ankles :md insteps were affected T found any walking excessively painful. An acquaintance told me about Dr Williams' Pink Pills and after a | lengthy trial they drove out all the symptoms. I have recommended this ] medicine far and wide; all . through . the_ West Const, and here as well, and T give this F.'tat?ment as a duty. I used to suffer so much, but since T finishecHhe course I've not had a touch of this painful er.mplaint." '■ D.r.
