PRESIDENT'S RESIGNATION DEMANDED. (By Tsi-f-yr-vh — Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. The General Labourers' Union had a stormy discussion in regard to Mr L\ Eraser occuyping the position of President because he was not following the occupation of a general labourer. Evidence was tiken by the committee, who brought in a recommendation against Mr Eraser.
! This was considered at n special meeti ing, which was also stormy, the cliairIman leaving the meeting. , Subsequently the committee's recommendation "wan carried by a Jarge majority.
It was stated that Mr Fraser declined to vacate tiie position until a referendum of tho Union wis taken. The matter was further considered at a subsequent mooting, when it was resolved to ask Mr Fraser to resign. Mr Fraser intimated that he would appeal to the Federation cf Labour.
