EDUCATIONAL TROUBLES

BOARD AND COMMITTEE

INVERCARGILL, Last Night

The committee of the Invercargill Middle School decided to-night to re- | sign in a body, as a protest against the- refusal of the Education Board i to supply certain information asked for. There was a dispute some time ago between the headmaster and the first assistant of the school, and the Board appointed a commission of inquiry, before which the chairman and members of the school committee gave evidence. The Board now refuses to supply the committee with a copy of the commission's finding.. The committee claim that as the representatives of the householders they are entitled to information concerning the efficiency of the teaching staff.
