FIERY LANGUAGE.
llf our esteemed little, evening contemporary does not restrain itself, it I will be consumed of its own fiery language. It appears quite incapable of discussing public questions without indulging in coarse ai:d vulgar abuse. Tn its last issue it talks of "despicable silence"—whatever that may mean—-"ba-sc and ridiculous slander," "farrago of nonsense," "low motives." and "puppies in the bush." Tt is not for us to dictate what language our friend should employ. But in all charity t and with a desire to protect the innocent public from the assaults which are being made v.pon its intelligence and finer feelings, Ave would suggest a study of the philosophy of Pickwick. Our friend should not take either himself or his coadjutor too seriously.
