Wairarapa, was played to-day in ideal weather, the ground being in perfect order. Contrary to anticipations, the visitors defeated the local team by 17 points to 13. 'J he game was fast and open, the first spell being very evenly contested. In the second spell, however, the Wairarapa forwards simply ran over the local pack, who are obviously stale. Thore was no element of luck in Wairarana's victory, for they were easily the better team on the day.
