THE NEW GENERAL
Mr Brain well Booth, who nuccecds the late Rev. William Booth as "General" of tlin Salvation Army, is the eldest .son of the founder of the institution. Mr Bramwell Bootli has been for many years tlie financial liead of ' the Army, and has a close acquaintance with every depu'tmoni of the organisation. Ko probably has not the-strong personality of his late father; but he : possesses organising ability in a very marked degree. The opinion expressed by the London Times that the death of the Rev. William Booth will seriously affect the future of the organisation, will not be shared by thoso
who haro an i:itimato acquaintance .villi the mental vigour a-nd business iptitude of his successor.
