WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the V/airarapa Caledonian Society was Jield in the Dominion Hall on Saturday evening, Mr J. H. Pauling (president) in the chair, there being a good attendance of directors. The Masterton Town "Beautifying Society wrote applying for i grant towards the funds of the Society. It was decided that the n.attcr he held over until next meet ; ng. Mr C, L. Stark wrote resigning from the directorate. The resignation was 'accepted with regret. It was decided to appoint M:- Stark steward of piping i.nd ..lancing events at the New Year's Day meeting. The report of the committee in reference, to a champ.onsliin meeting I for piping and dancing was received. It was decide! as the Town Hall was not available for Show ueek, the ! matter be allowod to stand over for i the time being. Accounts amounting to £2l 4s 3d were passed for payment. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the Ladies' Committee for the excellent results of the Ingleside. The Pragramme Committee's report was read. It was decided to refer the report back to the Programme Committee to be brought forward at a special meeting of directors on Saturday, 31st inst.
