THE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN
TAFT WANTS A FAIR FIGHT,

WASHINGTON, August 17
The Presidential campaign is being vigorously conducted. President Taft, in a speech at Washington, declared that all he asked for was a fair fight. He maintained that no voter coukl belong to tho Roosevelt Party and consider himself a good Republican. All would bo dishonest men if they remained in the Republican party at the same time that they were aiding the other party. The Boston Commercial Bulletinsays that, notwithstanding the overriding of the President's veto of the Wool Bill, woollen manufacturers continue to sell their goods and to buy wool extensively.
