DRIVING ACCIDENT

TIMARU, Last Night. Aftejr attending the induction service of the Rev J. Craig to the Presbyterian Church at Fairlie on Thursday evening, and visiting ministers were driving home, a serious accident bet'el two of them. Tlio Revs P. Wilson, of AUmry, and C. Mar/Donald, of Ternnka, were in a gig going at a good pace when the horse shied and upset the vehicle down an embankment at the approach to a small bridge. The gig was smashed, and the two ministers were considerably hurt. The next party, including two other ministers, picked them up and drove back to Fairlie for medical assistance. The Rev Wilson was seriously hurt about the head and was retained at Fairlie. Mr Mac Donald sustained cuts and bruises on the face and suffered from shock, but was able to return, home to-day. Fairlie people were distressed to learn 7 of such an untoward happening in consequence of their congregational festival.
