THE OTIRA TUNNEL
PETITION BY CONTRACTORS; (Bu Telegraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. In connection with the petition presented by Messrs McLean Bros., praying to be relieved from the O.tira tunnel contract, the Chairman of Committees reported in the House of Representatives this afternoon that in view of the urgency of the matter it had been recommended that a special select committee be set up to deal with the petition. This was done oil tho motion of the Premier.
