The friends of Mr W. McLaren, cE Masterton, who has undergone a serious operation in a private hospital, will regret to hear that he is in a. very critical condition.
The annual report of Knox Church,, read last night, contained expressions of sympathy with the relatives of two young members, who have been called" away by death during the year, viz.,. Mr H. M. Gordon and Mr Leslie MeLachlan.'
Messrs G. R, Sykes and W. C. Buchanan. M.P.'s. have been invited tobe present at the conference of local bodies in Masterton on Saturday next, to further discuss the question of establishing an Agricultural College in the Wairarapa.

Elliiigham, of Maketu, Hawkc's Bay. and Mis* Lucinda Rosa Dagg, eldest daughter of Mr H. Dagg, of Imuraua Valley, The bride was attended by Tier sister and' two nieces, and was given away by her father. The Rev A. T. Thompson performed the ceremony. A largo, number of friends assembled at the> Wenvoe tea-rooms, where a reception; was subsequently .held.
