A PROSPEROUS CONCERN.
Tho Wellington Farmers' Meat Company may now be regarded as a firmly established institution. The operations for tho past year have shown a marked improvement upon those of the initial year. .Notwithstanding the disorganisation of trade in the Mother land by the docker's strike, and threatened industrial troubles at this end, the company has experienced a season of far beyond the expectations of its % di rectors. It has been found .-necessary to increase the ■ storage accommodation, and also to duplicate a considerable portion of the plant. In these circumstances it ia hardly to be wondered at that a dividend is not forthcoming for the shareholders. As, however, the majority of the shareholders are suppliers of stock, the advantages they have derived will more than compensate for the loss sustained by way of dividend. The management is to be congratulated upon t'ho excellent qaulity of the article produced, amd upon th c high average of the prices obtained. We predict for the company a long period of successful years, and congratualte the shareholders upon having in Mr J. 0. Cooper so thoroughly competent a business mam as managing director.
