CHRISTCHURCiIT, Last Night. The decision of the New ZeabncT* Lndies Hockey Association to give the Annual Championship taouilnanienfc this senr.in 'to Christchurch is h.u'ed with enthusiasm 'in local ladies hockey circles, and already active preparations are b'eing made for the tournam- ;.t. The matrlios will he played at Svihn - ha mPark, n.;i ! d the tournament ivili run from September 7th to September 14th. The hon. secretary of the Cm+or hurv Association was advised by headquarters to-day that eight associa ■ t : iom,s at least will send teams, in addition tc the two Canterbury team-;, and possibly four other associat vis wiW be renresented. The tournament will be conducted by the committt? of the Canterbury Ladies' Hockey A?* F.teiation, assisted by representative.? of clubs who are mot already represent tl on tlipi general committee.
