APPOINTMENT OF ADVISOR
APPLAUDED BY VIENNA PRESS
(Received Last Night, 0.1-3 o'clock.) LONDON, August 5. The Daily Telegraph's Peking correspondent states that there is much comment- in the foreign legations over Mr Morrison's appointment as advisor to the President, at a handsome salary.
Tho Chinese Foreign Office disclaims responsibility. Apparently tho appointment was made hv General Yuan-Shih-Kai.
The Vienna newspapers applaud the appointmont- of Mr Morrison, as evidence of sound sense on the part of the Chinese.
