Allen, small yearling heifers 32<s, better sorts £2 13s to £3; heifers in calf, £5 6s, £5 6s, £5 15s, £6, £6 2s 6d to I£6 loy; dairy cows £7 Jos to £lO os, the herd averaging throughout £8 los 6d; on account of other vendors, weaners 21s to 30s ; 18-mon.tlis heifers £3 to £3 17s 6d; 18-month steers to £4; backward heifers in calf £4 12s 6d to £5; forward springing heifers £6, £7 15s to £8 17s 6d; sound dairy cows £5 10,s, £7 10s, £8 2s 6d to 2d 10; store cows £2 to £3 ©s, forward cows £3 10s to £4 ss; fat 'cowe< to £5 ss. The sale throughout for choice dairy heifers and best quality dairy cows was keen throughout a.'id prices realised were in favour of vendors.
LONDON" WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have (received tlie followin'g cablegram I'rom their London house:—London Wool Snles. The sales closed with good competition!. 238.000 hales of wool were ■sold, of which 72,000 bales were taken for the continent and 18,000 for America. 90.000 were held over. As compared with last eales closing rates, prices are higher by about 5 per cent to 7 per eemt for medium nn,d fine greasy erossbreds. ant® greasy merino.
