The Helvetia was sunk, but her crew was saved. Tlie Rmprois of Britain returned to port, with heir bows damaged. (The Empress of Britain was built in 190G by the Fairfi«kl Company. She is 548 feet in length .and her speed fe 20 knots.' per hour.)
