The DemoiT'its and United .Progressive." in the House of Representatives are p;i&i>:ng tho Democratic Excise Tax Bill, to which is attached at* atraaadment for the repeal of the Caiiudiaa reciprocity provision. The pnroting paper tax, aboßsiied when reciprocity was adopted, is ©staMslied. An amendment providing for a non-partisan Tariff Commission to replace tike Taft Tariff Board has also boon .adopted.
SENATE ADOPTS RECIPROCITY MEASURE. (Received July 29, 10.10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 28. f Vt«» Senate passed , the Canadian Reciprocity measure and adopted tlie Sugar Ball, cutting down the> duty by 30 cents, and abolishing the duty on sugar known/ as ''"refined differential."
