SEVEN DETECTIVES KILLED.

AMERICAN MINERS' RIOT.

CHARLESTOWN (W.V.)., July 26. Miners on strike fought the police during the riots in the Paintcreek district. Seven detectives employed to report on the miners' doings, were engaged in cleaning a machine gun, used to overawe the miners, when some dynamite exploded near by. The explosion killed the detectives and-also three miners who were standing near. Militia are camping in the neighbourhood in consequence of the disturbed conditions.
