GAMBLING CLUB RAIDED

(Received July 25, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 24. Forty peojrie were arrested, in a gambling club at Islington. Several of them have been remanded, and others released. (The London, police have been active lately in raiding gambling saloons. On the 18th inst. they raided a touletto house in' Kensington, and arrested twenty-eight fashionably dressed men and women, and on the 6th a house in Conduit Street was also raided, and fourteen people placed under arrest, and the proprietor was subsequently fined £600.)
