AUCKLAND, Last Night. A meeting of Auckland citizens was hold to-day to consider wh'at further assistance should "oe given to the Wiai'hi engino-c'f-ivers, who have been thrown out of emp/ovment by the strike. Those present were Very ev.tand all -the t'-peakem were Unanimous in -a resohrttxn to guarantee funds for the ongiine-drivers till the termination of ,t'he trouble. Since the fund >h:Vs been, irmigurated, men out of work have'oaoh benefited to the extent ,of £2 per week, 'aiid the number now requiring relief is 'between thirty atnd forty.
