THE SEA ABATED. ROUGH EXPERIENCE OF MOERAKI. (Received Last Night, 9.25 o'clock.) SYDNE, July 17. The sea has subsided, and shipping has been resumed. The s.s. Moeraki had a rough passage, her wireless apparatus being carried away. The ships carpenter had a narrow escape. A huge sea washed him off the deck, but he managed to cling to the rails. He was badly injured, and was sent to the .hospital on the vessel's arrival in port.
