TAUERU.
On Friday, jaily sth, the bachelor* gave a very i?<uccessfu,l dance. The 'hall was nicefy decorated, and a good many visitors came from town, the weather 'being fine. On the 6th, Taueru and Cars-wells teams played Timri, at the Junction* Taueru won by 3to nil. , o.ni Saturday, the 13th, Tauerrj played Carswells, a-t Taueru, and after; a well contested game, Taucru won! 'by 14 to nil. The visiting team were entertained at the Taueru Hotel .By] the local players. The regular •boxing classes at the Taueru on Saturday evenings continue to draw a goodly number of young men together. The Te Parae employees are giving an invitation dance iiv the Tauerts Hall next Friday evening. The past week Was been very wei„ and -the rivers have been) flooded.
