APPEAL COURT
WELLINGTON SITTINGS. (By Teiegraph—Fress Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Appeal Court,-at the-conclusion of the signer's argument in the case of Rex. v. Mikkelsen, intimated that it did not wish to hear the Solicitor-Gen-eral on behalf of the Crown. The Court unanimously decided that the judge'?, ruling was right in law, and affirmed the conviction. The Court then heard the case or Rex v. Weston. The question raised was the existence or the extent of corroboration of the evidence of the two main witnesses for the Crown. Tho prisoner was convicted for performing an illegal operation on one of the said witnesses and at the request of the other main witness. .Mr H. Q. Bell appeared for the -prisoner, and the Solicitor-General for the Crown. The Court unanimously affirmed the con>viction. The Court then adjourned till Monday.
