A statement was ma.de by Mr F. M. B'. Fisher (Minister of Custom's) this evening, lliat owing to the uncertainty which existed in the minds of importers ithfoughctot the length and breadth of the Dominion upon the question of tflie amendment of the Cii'stoims "tariff, Cabinet had decided that during the coming session of Plirlianrant there will he no amendment of the Customs tariff. This (Statement is made solely with a view to allaying ithe anxiety of importer*, whose business may be affected 'by ithe uncertainty created by public 'statements that 'have been made recently in tlie House.
