GISBORNE, Last Night. t It is now definitely stated that tKei Star of Canada has been handed overt to the underwriters, and Captains ,Taylor and Plunkett, of the London* Salvage Association, will make another determined attenipt to get the vessel off.

It is understood that the proposal is now to utilise cement in the interior of the vessel, to make an endeavour to pump her out.
