NO GENERAL LEVY TO BE MADE.

A;t ai special meeting of the Flax Workers' Union,, held at Tokomaru, it wa,g decided not to make a levy in aid of the Waiihi.cr Reef ton miners, as desired by the Federation of Labour, but to send subscription lists to £he mils instead. The Federation had iheld that the levy was made automatically, because the flax workers were (affiliated to it, hut they ■ wo ! uld not accept this view. At tlies general (meeting ,to be held on 27th ineffc., a motion will ibe considered to cut. with the? Federation, as the Waihi workers have done.
