THREAT BY BEN TILLETT
VIOLENCE AS AN ALTERNATIVE

LONDON, July 7. "Mr Tillett, speaking alt a Hyde IPark demonstration to-day,, said: — " 4 3f we are unable to win peact-'ailly; if "the capitalists and the Government •say the workers are not to have the Tight to Hve, then, in the interests nf the women and children, the workers amist resort to the only . alternative—violence." ' It was officiary announced to-night that His (Majesty the King, acting on Sii'e Ministers' advice, has cancelled 3iifl engagement to out the first sod of -the Albert Dock Extension tin the 17th anst.
(Mr Tillet-t declared last month that
unless the strike was settled hoinourr the owrkers would drape the lEast End with, crape, and would play the "Dead Mairch" when King George •visited the site of the mew 'Royal Alport Dock.
ISSUE OF FOOD TICKETS CONTINUED.

"transport onen have arranged for a loam of £IO,OOO from other trade unions.
