With butter at H-}d per ilb f.oJb., .New Zealand, cr ll&s 6d per ewt". f.o.'b., London, cooperative factories could pay suppliers llfd per lb {for ibutter fat. 'With cheese at 68s per cwt. f.0.b., London, allowing 9s per .owt. for freight .from New Zealand to London—net price 59s f.0.1)., Wellington—factories, after allowing (for working expenses etc.,, •could pay l (.7od per lb for .butter fat. If whey ibutter is made an additional ••55d could be paid, bringing the price per lb of ibutter fat to 16.30 d. There j is therefore a difference in favour of I cheese of 3.675 d per lb.
