WAIRARAPA RUGBY UNION

MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE,

. The .Ufsua.l fortnightly nVeoting of the committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union was held at Carterton on 'Saturday evening, Mr A. Booth presiding.

Communications were received from Messrs V. Higgjins, Carterton School, G. IE Kidson, Greytown School, aaid J. Millar, Masterton School, thanking the Union for the assistance rendered to encourage school football. Mr MiWar also applied for the championship football won 'by the' Mastertoin School last year. Decided to forward same at once. The secretaries of the Red Star and Greytown Clubs notified that their junior teams forfeited matches dratyn for last Saturday.— It was decided that each Cluib .be fined only the actual amount of expenses incurred bj the Union in connection with the matches.

From C. .W(illiam.s and N. Skeet, fibotli of the Greytown Olub, enclosing 'doctor's certificate, and declaring on. the insurance fund.— Decided to ask for an explanation from one of the playem as to an irregularity committed in failing to comply with the conditions ,of the .insurance scheme. Decided that the secretary write to Taranaki ißugby Union, asking if it v is (possible to arrange a match with 'them this season, as Wairarapa would be going to Horowhemia and Manawatu, and it would be .possible, to arira'nge a match on this trip.

It was decided that the secretary and Mr McMinn arrange the third round of the third-class championship fixtures to suit- grounds available in the various 'towns, teams to be notified early in the week. Accounts amounting to £ll 10s were passed for payment. The Treasurer reported that the 'credit Ibalance to date, not including last Saturday's takings, .was £B4 ss.
