Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Eketalnuia sale yesterday as follows :—We offered a fair yarding of all classes of stock and effected a good clearance at auction. Sheep were in good demand, and prices realised show a rise all round in recent sale reports. Following is a list of prices:—Sheep: Ewes in lamb, good 12s lOd to 14s Id; poor sorts in lambs, 7s to 8s 7d; empty ewes, to 12s (kl; 2-tooth wethers, to 1-ts 7d; lambs, good, 12s to 14s 6d. Cattle : Cows in calf, £2 7s 6d bulls, to £3. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd. and. Reduced, report on their usual fortnightly sale held yesterday:—We submitted a small yarding of sheep and a good one of cattle to a large attendance of buyers. Sheep sold well under the hammer above vendors' anticipations, and we made a total clearance. Dairy heifers did not meet with such a ready sale, but young steers and good weaners were keenly competed for. Quotations: —Medium wether'hoggets, 9s 3d to 9s 6d; better, 10s 6d to lis lid; 2-tooth ewes in lamb, 15s lid; store cows, £3 2s; weaner steers, £2 6s 6d ; weaner heifers, £2 os; dairy cows, £4 Cs to £7; weaner calves, £1 4s to £1 I 16s; bull £2 lis; dairy heifers, £3 16s to £5 2s 6d.
