LONDON, July 5. The Universities Congress this morning discussed tho standard of entrance examinations. Mr J. W. Joynt, Registrar of the New Zealand University, deprecated a universal Imperial examination. He said matriculation in Australia and New Zealand was well worthy of the recognition of modern English Universities. Tn the afternooon, the question of University extension lectures was discussed. The Lord Mayor gave a reception to the delegates at tho Mansion House.
