Mr Philip Snow-don, Labour member for Blackburn, .says the Labour parry's decision that in the event of three-cor-nered contests at the elections for the Hanley and Cheshire (Crewe) seats. rendered necessary by the deaths recently of Mr Enoch Edwards (Labour) and Mr W. S. B. Maelaren (Liberal) respectively, all the Labour members of the House of Commons will participate in the election meetings, their absence thus imperilling the Government's position in the House, means war to the knife. Mr J. R. Clyr.os, Labour member ior the North-east Division of Manchester, declares that Hanley is a Labour seat, and shall not be filched without a light. Mr F. W. Jowett, Labour memoer for the West Division of Bradford, says that the party's decision will be acted upon thoroughly, and Mr G. Lansburv, Labour member for .1 over Hamlets', declares that it is high time tiio Labour party fought the Govcrnm^t.
