A vigorous movement is about to be initiated' in .New .Zealand in favour of tils' introduction of the Bible into Shafts schools. It is a pity that the leaders of the movement have not thought fit to .szsk "uie opinion of educationists upon the proposed innovation. The Education 'Commission harj been taking evidence, in various parts of the Dominion, but not a question has 'been .asked of'teachers, Inspectors or other experts concerning the probable effects of Bible reading during ■school hours.
