The peopl? stand aghast for the .'moment, f;'arful that 'the impact at those fiery atom,: l with things terrestrial will cause a dissolution. But students of political history view the phenomenon with the utmost equanimity. The illumination is .caused by ian ethereal and gaseous substance, which pauses into oblivioto Ibefore it is permitted to solidify. And souA'aturo, in the wisdom of her dispensations, provides against disaster?
