ANOTHER MOTOR FATALITY

Hur.'nah Dunn, 80 years cf aga, ,a widow residing in Sandytford Street, Sydenham, was knocked down by <&.. motor car in- Colombo Stiveet, Syden" ham, about 5.4.0 yesterday eveir.'ng, and died from the result of the injuries received. At the inquest to-day, Thomas Guy, the owner and-driver' of the car, stated that tie was licensed:* to ply for hire. He was returning to town on his proper side cf the street,' when th:> motor-man on a tra.mica.r be-' hind rang his beii, and witness, in order to. avoid a collision' with .two cyclists, who were on their wrong side, crossed to his wrong side of the road. When turning to return to his proper side, the woman .suddenly appeared on the middle of the road, and the next thing he knew was that the car had knocked ker down. At the ,tiwie, the -motor car was going at between four and five miles an hour. Immediately 'he saw the woman he applied the 'brakes, ;md ! pulled up within five or six. feet. The coroner advised the witness rjways .to keep on his proper side- «f the road. He recorded the following verdict: "That the deceased was killed in, Colombo Sydenham ,by being knocked down by I a .motor car driven by one Thfcmos Guy, while on his wrong side of the j street." .
