LATE COMMERCIAL
THE WHEAT MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. and Reduced, has received the following cablegram from their London House: — Wheat: —We have sold an Australian cargo at 40s 6d, c.i.f. The market is' quiet, but steady, owing to French buying. The outlook is encouraging.
EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. and Reduced report on their usual fortnightly sale held yesterday as follows: —We offered a small, yarding of cattle. We quote: Weaner calves, £1 12s; store cows, £2 18s to £3 2s Csd ; dairy cows, £4 2s 6d to £5 10s; bulls, to £3 15s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Eketahuna yesterday as follows: —We had a small entry of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. Sheep sold well and late prices were fully maintained. We quote: Sheep : Fat ewes, to 15s; empty ewes, 9s to 12s 3d; 2-tooth wethers, small, 13s 7d; woolly lamibs, goed, 12s Id; 2, 4, and 6-tooth ewes, 14s 7d. Cattle: Forward bullocks, to £i 10s; 3-year bullocks, £5 5s to £6 10s; empty cows, £3 to £4 10s; .springing heifers, £5 10s to £6 10s; dairy cows, £5 to :£7 2s 6d; weaner calvers, 23s 6d to £2.
