REPLY TO MR MASSEY. (By Telegraph — Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night, The Prime Minister visited Albany ' to-day. In a speech, he referred to the complaints by 'Mr Massey that I ■Ministers were neglecting their work in travelling atiout the country. /As' ffkirier, Ihe averted that not .a single plairtiiicfe of their work was negiecited. In the laaiaieh ithalfc morning he had dealt with over on.e hundred letters. Hits Departmieinital work followed him, and wa:s executed on the train. As a matter cif fact, owing to the absence of unending interruptions experienced in Wellington, the work •was disposed of with grcliter despatch when, he was away. In answer ■to the statement that the Government had no policy,, Mr Mackenzie printed ■to h'is policy fcr making' large hindowners .disgorge 'for the benefit of closer settlement, and he declared that Mr Maissey and the Oomservat(iive section, he .stood for were so alarmed at the Government's proposals that the Leader of the Opposition had hastily beaten the big drum and aiallied hafif a dozen iof hie supporters to hurry on his (the Premier's) heels, and. if possible, nullify any effect he hav'e had on the people.
