A presentation of a handsome gladstone bap: and travelling rug was made on Saturdav to Mr H. E. Huston, of the staff of the local Magistrate's 'Court,'who'has been promoted to a. position in the Supreme Court Office, Wellington. The presentation was m»ide by Mr 0. N.'C. Pragnell, on behalf .of the, legal profession of. .Mas- _._ terton. Tn proposing the toast of theguest of the evening, Mr Pragneil made reference to the sterling qualities of Mr Huston as an assistant "of the Court. Eulogistic reference, te#ifying to his esteem, was also made by'Messrs-Foley, Perry, A. Hollings, O'Dowd, and' MoKenzie. Mr Huston, in replying, stated that his work in Masterton had always "been a pleasure*. to him, and he thanked those present for the many kind words; spoken of him, ■ .- '
