A RAILWAY MATTER.
A month or two back Mr William Thompson', railway station-master at Ureytown, appealed against his classification in the railway service. The Appe'al Eoard, which consisted of Dr JMoArthur, S.M., and two members of
•the Service, unanimously uphold the appeal. Mr Thompson has now been advised that the Minister has vcrtoed the decision 1 «f the Board. lit would "be inte-resiti'ng to know upon ,w,liat grounds 'this veto has 'been exercised. If the tunanimous finding of th:> Appeal Board is to 'be flouted in' this fashion', the, confidence of the service will :be severely shaken.
